Using medications and supplements

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have a question regarding physical relations between husband and wife. My friend is very religious and her husband is moderately religious. She has a question that if her husband uses any medication or pill like ecstasy for good relations then is that allowed in Islam. He is adamant that men use different herbal and all type of medicines for enjoyment and women should also be allowed. Kindly guide us with your knowledge with reference.

Bismillaah

A: Many of these supplements have got serious side effects. People have died of heart attacks etc. So be very careful of these types of medications.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
