The Shariah and Swinging: Is it Permissible with Consent?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What does the shariah say about “swinging”, “swinging couples” which we now see is creeping slowly into our own Muslims in S.A.? What if both partners give permission and are happy with it?

Bismillaah

A: You should caution the Muslims that you know of. These types of works bring the wrath and punishment of Allah Ta’ala.

All the more they deserve the severest punishment. Life and your body do not belong to you. You can only use your body in the way the owner of the body allows you, just as you will not allow anybody to use your wealth. If you have allowed someone to control your wealth you will allow him to control only that wealth that you consent.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
