Palmistry and Belief in Islam: Can Predicting Your Future be Disregarded?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If I learn the knowledge of palmistry and then predict my future but don’t believe in it, is it okay in Islam?

Bismillaah

A: This is haraam in Islam. Severe warnings have been sounded in the Ahaadith for people who involve themselves in these grave sins. The knowledge of the future is only known to Allah Ta’ala.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
