Making an effort to recite the Qur’an in Arabic

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My language is Urdu. If I read Quran with Urdu translation, is it necessary for me to read it also in Arabic?

Bismillaah

A: By reciting the translation one will not receive the same reward as one will receive by reciting the actual words of the Qur’an. Hence you should make a concerted effort to learn how to recite the Qur’an in it’s proper manner.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
