Holding the Qur’an in a cover without wudhu

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When one does not have wudhu is it permissible to hold the quraan if it has a quraan cover on it? Some people say it is permissible to hold it although it is adab not to hold it.

Bismillaah

A: It is permissible. When it is difficult for you to make wudhu for some reason or the other, then insha-Allah it will not be against adab.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
