Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My aunt is in iddat. She live in a block of flats. Her daughter lives a few doors away. Can she visit her daughter and can she speak to the ladies in the corridor?

Bismillaah

A: She should not leave her flat.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
