Wearing purda during iddat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: When under Iddah, when you have been given a talaak is it also compulsory to wear pardah?

Bismillaah

A: It is not compulsory to wear purda in the home during iddat. However if there are strangers (na-mahrams) present in the home, then she should observe purdah from them whether in the state of iddat or any other time.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
