Reciting Qur’an while the Azaan is being called out

Q: Should one cease individual recitation of Qur’an and Dhikr whilst Adhan is taking place?

A: Reciting the Qur’an at the time of Azaan is permissible. However it is better for one to stop one’s recitation and reply to the Azaan. After the Azaan, one may continue with one’s recitation.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
