Fruit from the trees in the Musjid property

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to break and eat the fruit of the trees growing in the Musjid property? I was told that you can only eat the fruit if it falls on the ground. If it is on the tree one should not break it.

A: The fruit can be eaten, provided that the trustees of the Musjid don’t mind.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
