Sajda-e-Sahw Not Wajib: Surah Faatiha in Second Two Rakaats of Fardh Salaah

Q: What is the reason that if in the first or second rakaat Surah Fatiha is repeated twice (or half of more) it does require Sajdah Sahw, but if it is repeated in the 3rd or 4th rakaat, it does not require Sajdah Sahw?

A: The reason for the difference is that in the third and fourth rakaat of a fardh salaah, one can remain silent or recite any zikr.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: Will it apply behind the Imam or without the Imam?

A: Behind the Imaam, the muqtadi is not supposed to recite anything in all rakaats, instead he should remain silent.
