Advice for Second Wives in Polygamy Without First Wife Support

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: How does one view the issue of polygamy in the 21st century. What are certain advises given to someone who wishes to marry a second wife in these days without the support of the 1st wife and mother of the husband?

A: The status of polygamy in the 21st century is exactly the same as in the past centuries in Islam. It has not changed and insha-Allah it will not change. Muslims must not be influenced by western kuffaar cultures and ways. Rather the kuffaar should be overwhelmed by our culture and ways.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
