Reciting the names of Allah Ta’ala

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I have a question regarding the beautiful names of Allah, is it sunnah to recite them for the zikr of Allah while expecting some benefit? For example, “reciting ya Rahman 100 time after every compulsory prayer makes you so and so”. If it is not right then please explain what is the proper way of worshiping with the beautiful names. Also if you can recommend a Hadith will be very nice too?

A: It is permissible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
