Semen coming out during ghusal

Q: If one ejaculates, then urinates, and then performs ghusl, I know that any semen that might come out thereafter does not require a fresh ghusl to be made. However, what if some semen comes out during the ghusl itself? Does the individual need to restart his ghusl? Or does he disregard that semen, and continue with his ghusl?

A: You should restart the ghusl.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: If the individual did not restart his ghusl, but just continued with it, the prayers he prayed thereafter are all invalid? Should he then repeat those prayers?

A: If he washed his entire body, gargled his mouth and rinsed his nose after the semen had come out during the ghusal, then the ghusal will be valid. If he did not wash his entire body, then the ghusal will not be valid and the namaaz performed in this state (i.e. the state of janaabah) will have to be repeated.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
