Singing naats and singing Durood in a chorus

Q: Is singing of Nath Shareef allowed in Islam? Further is sending Salaam on Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) in standing position and by
singing it in a group allowed?

A:

  1. Refer to http://muftionline.co.za/node/1861
  2. While standing before the grave of Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam) one should convey the Salaam individually with utmost respect and reverence. Singing the Salaam collectively in a chorus form is incorrect.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
