Q: What is Mehr-Fatimi and how is it calculated?

A: It is the amount of mahr that was given to Hadhrat Faatimah (radhiyallahu anha). There are a 2 opinions regarding the amount of Mahr-e-Faatimi. Some say that it is 400 mithqaal of silver which will be equivalent to 1.7496 kg and some say that it was 480 Dirhams (silver coins) which will be equivalent to 1.469 kg.
