Doubting if one passed wind in Salaah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Sometimes I feel in namaaz that gas is discharged but I am not sure so I continue with my namaz. But then I began to think that I am thinking like this because I don’t want to redo my wudhu.I don’t know what is this. What shall I do? Was I wrong in continuing my namaaz? Do I have to make wudhu again? Is there any hadith concerning sound and smell of gas discharge? If there is and we don’t hear sound or smell but we are sure that something has came out, then we have to make wudhu again?

A: Until you are not absolutely certain, continue with your namaaz.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
