Q: I am currently in Grade 12. I am still undecided as to my study path for next year.
1. Is Computer Engineering/ Computer Science a suitable field of study for a muslim?
2. Will I be able to benefit Deen by studying this?

A: If the course does not entail anything impermissible in Shari’ah and the environment one studies in as well as the people one comes in contact with will not affect one’s understanding, Islamic morals and values and Deeni commitment, it will be permissible.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
