Q: I wanted to find out about naming my son Mua’adh after Mua’adh ibn Jabal (Radiyallahu Anhu). I was told that it is pronounced as Mua’ath. Kindly advise.
A: There is no exact English spelling (transliteration) for this name. However in Arabic this is how the word is written and pronounced: مُعَاذْ
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
