A Dream of Hospital Beds and Unexpected Visitors

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: On the 28th night I had a dream that I am sleeping on a hospital bed but the place is out side of my house entrance. Suddenly the bed broke and I fell down. The nurse came and put another bed at the same place. I was feeling drowsy. When I opened my eyes in the dream, my mother was sleeping next to me on the same bed, then my wife came with breakfast which was bread omelette, then one very old lady came (I know here, she is beggar who sits near my shop) she was requesting the nurse to interchange her bed with mine.

A: You should turn your focus towards the hereafter and be pleased with the decree of Allah Ta’ala at all times. This dunya is resembled to a hospital and the people in the dunya can be likened to the patients in the hospital. One will not receive everything that one desires in this dunya. Hence the sensible thing for man is to be pleased with the decree of Allah Ta’ala.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
