Sajdah Shukr: Correct Way and Controversies Explained

Q: If I am happy can I do sajdah shukr any time? What is the correct way? How many takbeers are they and also many ulama say it’s makruh please explain.

A: According to us sajdah-e-shukr refers to two rakaats of nafl namaaz. Thereafter, one can profusely thank Allah Ta`ala for the favour he has enjoyed.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
