Marrying someone who does not follow a mazhab

Q: I am a hanafi. Is it allowed for me to marry someone who does not follow a mazhab? If it is allowed won’t this later become a problem when we have children in terms of teaching them how to pray etc?

A: Generally marrying people who are not committed to a mazhab leads to confusion among the spouses or among the children. Hence, one should refrain.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
