Dreaming of My Father’s Passing: A Worried Interpretation

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I had a dream around my father passing away and I was crying and missing him a lot. At the end I saw him in my dream and I was in his arms crying and people were telling me no get away thats not him. Then I woke up  and saw the time and it was 9:40am. Please tell me what this meant, I am very worried. He is still alive.

A: Death in a dream does not always mean passing away. At times death refers to travelling (journey to Hajj, umrah, business, etc) and at times it refers to relocation and at times it refers to a change of condition e.g. A person reforms his condition and becomes pious.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
