Q: If I make a mistake in my dua for example, instead of saying Ya Allah, make us die with imaan. I say without imaan. This happens in error. Will one be accountable for this? Does he need to seek forgiveness ?
A: Be more mindful in your du`aas. Insha-Allah, you will not be accountable for the slips of tongue in du`aa.

حدثنا أنس بن مالك وهو عمه قال قال رسول الله * لله أشد فرحا بتوبة عبده حين يتوب إليه من أحدكم كان على راحلته بأرض فلاة فانفلتت منه وعليها طعامه وشرابه فأيس منها فأتى شجرة فاضطجع في ظلها قد أيس من راحلته فبينا هو كذلك إذا هو بها قائمة عنده فأخذ بخطامها ثم قال من شدة الفرح اللهم أنت عبدي وأنا ربك أخطأ من شدة الفرح (صحيح مسلم #2747)
