The criteria for determining success or failure of man in the sight of Allah Ta’ala

Q: Allah Ta’ala says that he doesn’t care about a person’s appearance, so why were all the Prophets handsome?

A: The Hadith that explains that Allah Ta’ala does not look at the physical appearance of man means that one’s physical appearance will not be the criteria for determining success or failure of man in the sight of Allah Ta’ala. Instead the actions that a person carries out i.e. obedience or disobedience will determine success or failure.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
