Reciting Qur’an from a phone that one had previously used to view haraam

Q: Will it be permissible to read the Holy Qur’aan on your mobile phone if you previously viewed filth and haraam on the same phone. That was about six months ago and you have made taubah.

A: We suggest that you do not read Quraan with this phone. Instead, you purchase another phone to recite Quraan.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

Q: I previously asked a question about using a mobile phone for reading The Quraan Majeed when the phone was previously used for viewing filth. I was advised to purchase another phone for this purpose.  My new question is that if I sell the same phone to another muslim brother and he uses the phone for reading The Quraan Majid and other islamic purposes will I be sinful for it? And if so then should I try and sell the phone to a non muslim?

A: No you will not be sinful.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
