Q: I would like to know while reading namaaz, can you have a cd playing in the background (recitation of Surah Yaseen). Because we have learnt that when reading saalah you have to give you full concentration.
A: At the time of Salaah one should be completely calm and focused towards Allah Ta’ala. Having a tape playing will be a cause of distracting one and preventing one from the required devotion and concentration one ought to adopt during Salaah.
And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
حَافِظُوا عَلَى الصَّلَوَاتِ وَالصَّلَاةِ الْوُسْطَى وَقُومُوا لِلَّـهِ قَانِتِينَ ﴿البقرة: ٢٣٨﴾
