Can I make dua for a non-Muslim to accept Islam? I wish to marry him.

Q: Can I pray for a non-muslim guy to accept Islam. I want to get married to that guy if he accepts Islam.

A: We are prohibited in Islam from keeping close association with disbelievers. Moreover, a Muslim woman having contact with a non-Muslim man or being inclined towards him is totally haraam and severely condemned in Islam. You should sever all ties with him and get married to a pious and righteous Muslim. We should make dua in general for all disbelievers to enter into the fold of Islam.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
