Will flowing blood break wudhu?

Q: 

1. Does wudu break when we bleed from any part of the body or just from the parts of wudu?
2. What if the blood has flown and we don’t know? Will the salah be accepted in this case?
3. What if we have doubt whether the blood has flown or not where we can’t see like on the back, etc?

A:  

1. If blood flows from any part of the body, the wudhu will break.
2. If one is sure that blood had flowed before the Salaah (i.e. after the wudhu but before the Salaah) or during Salaah, he should repeat the Salaah.
3. If one is unsure as to when the blood had flowed (i.e. before the Salaah or after the Salaah) he will not have to repeat the Salaah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.

( وينقضه خروج ) كل خارج ( نجس ) بالفتح ويكسر ( منه ) أي من المتوضىء الحي معتادا أو لا من السبيلين أو لا ( إلى ما يطهر ) بالبناء للمفعول أي يلحقه حكم التطهير (الدر المختار 1/134)

( ويحكم بنجاستها ) مغلظة ( من وقت الوقوع إن علم وإلا فمذ يوم وليلة إن لم ينتفخ ولم يتفسخ ) وهذا ( في حق الوضوء ) والغسل وما عجن به فيطعم للكلاب وقيل يباع من شافعي أما في حق غيره كغسل ثوب فيحكم بنجاسته في الحال وهذا لو تطهر عن حدث أو غسل عن خبث وإلا لم يلزم شيء إجماعا جوهرة (ومذ ثلاثة أيام ) بلياليها ( إن انتفخ أو تفسخ ) استحسانا وقالا من وقت العلم فلا يلزمهم شيء قبله قيل وبه يفتى (الدر المختار 1/219)
