Dark cloud and huge waves

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I see dark black clouds rising from behind the trees and then suddenly a huge wave of water comes and I recite “subhanallahi wal hamdu lillahi wa la ilaha illallahu wallahu akbar ” and then tell a guy standing next to me to read the kalimah (he says I have read it before) and then I myself read the kalimah as I a thought that this is the end of the world but then that wave come to us but doesn’t kill us. Now a bigger wave comes and I don’t remember what happens next. The whole feeling was very scary and uneasy. Kindly can you interpret the meaning.

A: The dark clouds refers to the impending imminent punishments of Allah Ta’ala on account of the sins that are being perpetrated in the world. Similarly the waves in the dream refers to the fithnas that are engulfing the ummah. Through remaining firm upon Imaan, the Sunnah and righteous deeds, Allah Ta’ala will safeguard  us and protect us against Shaitaan and his armies.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
