Salaatul Hajaat on behalf of another person

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to pray Salaatul Hajaat on behalf of another person and pray to Allah to ease his difficulties?

A: Yes. In fact, it is even more worthy act of merit and reward. The hadeeth says that when a Muslim prays for his brother in his absence, an angel is appointed to say: “May you also enjoy the same.” i.e. may you receive the same that you are beseeching on half of your brother.
