The names Zaydaan and Meezaan

Q: My wife and I are expecting a baby boy Insha Allah. There are two names that we would like to keep:

  1. Zaydaan
  2. Meezaan (word from surah Ar Rahmaan)

Are these names permissible for a baby boy and if so please can let us know what the meaning is as well as the correct english spelling?

A: As far a Zaydaan is concerned, there is no name like this. However, you can keep the name Meezaan which means fairness, justice, scale or balance.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
