What should one recite in the four rakaats of Zuhr and Asr behind the Imaam?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What should one recite in the four rakaats of Zuhr and Asr behind the Imaam according to the hanafi Maslak? Also, if one does not know dua-e-qunoot then what he should recite in witr prayers can he recite rabbana atina fiduniya 3 times or not?

Bismillaah

A:

  1. According to the Hanafi Mazhab, one should remain silent behind the imaam in all salaah (whether jahri salaah or sirri salaah).
  2. One should make an effort to learn Duaa qunoot. If one recites Rabbana Aatina once or more in place of Duaa Qunoot, it will suffice.

And Allah Ta’ala knows best.
