Q: I travel daily from Midrand to Witbank +- 110kms daily to work. I need to know whether the salahs I have to perform daily are in the Qasr state and also if I return home and if I have missed my salahs during the day I have to perform Qaza in a Qasr state.
Also if the Juma salah is missed then whether qaza for the fard salah is 2 or 4 rakaat. (also in above state)
A: You will be a musafir. The qadhaa must be offered according to the condition in which the salaah was missed. If it was missed whilst you were a musafir then two rakaats should be performed and if it was missed whilst you were not a musafir then four rakaats must be performed. There is no qadhaa for Jumuah i.e. if the Jumuah was missed one should perform Zuhr.

من ( من خرج من عمارة موضع إقامته ) من جانب خروجه وإن لم يجاوز من الجانب الآخر ( قاصدا ) ولو كافرا ومن طاف الدنيا بلا قصد لم يقصر ( مسيرة ثلاثة أيام ولياليها ) من أقصر أيام السنة ولا يشترط سفر كل يوم إلى الليل بل إلى الزوال ولا اعتبار بالفراسخ على المذهب ( بالسير الوسط مع الاستراحات المعتادة ) حتى لو أسرع فوصل في يومين قصر ولو لموضع طريقان أحدهما مدة السفر والآخر أقل قصر في الأول لا الثاني ( صلى الفرض الرباعي ركعتين ) وجوبا (الدر المختار 2/ 121-123)
باب صلوة الجمعة: ومن شرائطها الوقت فتصح في وقت الظهر ولا تصح بعده لقوله عليه الصلاة والسلام إذا مالت الشمس فصل بالناس الجمعة ولو خرج الوقت وهو فيها استقبل الظهر (الهداية 1/168)
