Shaving or trimming the moustache

Q: Which one is more close to Sunnah shaving the mustache with a razor or trimming it with scissors or trimmer?

Bismillaah

A: It is neater to trim it with a scissor. However, shaving is also established from the Hadith (Nasaai.)

عن أبي هريرة قال قال لي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم خمس من الفطرة قص الشارب ونتف الإبط وتقليم الأظفار والاستحداد والختان (سنن النسائي رقم 5240)

عن ابن عمر عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال أحفوا الشوارب وأعفوا اللحى (سنن النسائي رقم 15)
