Eating and Sleeping in the Masjid

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Is it permissible to eat and sleep in the masjid?

Bismillaah

A: It is makrooh to eat and sleep in the masjid except for a musaafir or with the intention of i’tikaaf.
