A: It is impermissible to use zakaat monies for the building and upkeep of the masjid.
و يشترط أن يكون الصرف تمليكاً لا إباحةً كما مرّ لا يصرف إلى بناء نحو مسجد (الدر المجتار مع رد المحتار 2/344)
