Wudhu for Reciting Qur’an

Q: Does one need to be in the state of Wudhu to recite Quran?

A: One does not have to be in the state of wudhu to recite the Qur’aan, however one has to be in the state of wudhu to touch the Qur’aan.

ويحرم بالجنابة خمسة أشياء الصلاة وقراءة آية من القرآن ومسها إلا بغلاف ودخول مسجد والطواف ويحرم على المحدث ثلاثة أشياء الصلاة والطواف ومس المصحف إلا بغلاف (نور الإيضاح ص50)
