Salaah behind a person who trims his beard

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I would like to know about the priority in a jamaat for a person to lead a prayer, if among 10 persons, 9 of them has one fist beard but the other one his beard is shorter but his tajweed, knowledge and age is more than the other 9 people. In that case who is eligible first to lead the prayer.

Bismillaah

A: The one who is more knowledgeable, if his beard is not growing or he did not cut his beard at all then he is more eligible. Otherwise, the one who is most educated from those with full beards is most eligible.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
