Muslim Business Selling Un-Halal Products in Non-Muslim Community: Is it Allowed?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can a Muslim business sell un-halaal products (meat etc.)? The business is located in a non-muslim community.

Bismillaah

A: The meat of animals that are not slaughtered according to the Shar’ee method of slaughter is carrion. It is not permissible for a believer to purchase or sell or have any dealings in such haraam. There are severe warnings recorded in the mubaarak Ahaadith for the one who deals in such haraam. Just as it is haraam to sell carrion to Muslims, it is similarly haraam to sell carrion to non-Muslims.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
