Keeping the names Muhammad Fadi and Muhammad Hisham

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: Can I name (Mohammad fadi ) and (Mohammad hisham) to my new sons? Please tell me their meanings?

Bismillaah

A: These names are correct. Fadi means ‘the one who pays a ransom to save a life’ and Hisham means ‘generosity’.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
