Husband saying “If you don’t look after my kids, you go”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: My question is if a husband and wife argue, then the husband says if you don’t look after my kids u go. What does it mean? Is this divorce words or just husband said in anger after he got normal love kids and wife he said if I say something to you in anger, don’t take it serious. I didn’t mean it because I am suffering depression and anxiety. Please guide me.

Bismillaah

A: This does not amount to talaaq.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
