Replying to “Merry Christmas”

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: If a non-Muslim classmate or co-worker says “Merry Christmas” to you, how should you reply? Will it be ok to reply with “Thanks”?

Bismillaah

A: Ask him not to use these words for you because you do not find anything merry in christmas.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
