Videoing a person dying of cancer

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: There is a video of a Muslim dying off cancer. The idea is to broadcast the message of his piety. Is it Islamic to video anybody dying. What are the consequences for the deceased if he gave permission to video and broadcast his death on social media after his death?

Bismillaah

A: The picture maker will be under the worst punishment on the Day of Qiyaamat. May Allah save us and all the Muslims from such ignorance, stupidity and curse.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
