Does the person who is pelted to death receive the status of a Shaheed

Q: According to sharia law, some crimes are punishable by death e.g stone to death. Then, when the person dies, does he go directly to heaven because this is a martyr death?

Bismillaah

A: There is no mention of such a person getting the reward of a shaheed.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
