Reciting and touching the Qur’an in the state of janaabat

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: What are the rulings of a junbi person? What if a junbi person touches the Holy Quran? Can a junbi person read the translation of holy Quran? Can a junbi person read hadith fiqh and Islamic books?

Bismillaah

A:

1. It is not permissible for the person in the state of janaabat to touch the Qur’an or to recite the wordings or translation of the Qur’an.

2. It is makhrooh for a person to read the books of Hadith or the books of fiqh in the state of janaabat.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
