Touching without wudu: quran translation, tafseer, fiqh book

Q1) What is the ruling on touching TRANSLATION ONLY (no Arabic) Qur’aan
without Wudhu?
 
Q2) What is the ruling on touching Tafseer& books of Fiqh etc. without
Wudhu where the Arabic Qur’aan content is significantly less than the
other (Tafseer, Fiqh) content?
 
Q3) What is the ruling on touching books of Hadeeth & Fiqh without
Wudhu?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

1) It is not permissible to touch translation only Quran without wudhu. [1]

2) If the words of the Quran are more than that of the tafseer then it will not be permissible to touch the tafseer book without wudhu; otherwise it will be permissible as long as one does not touch the words of the Quran.   (Ahsanul Fatawa vol. 2 pg. 27 H.M. Saeed)

3) One may touch books of Hadith and Fiqh without wudhu; however, it is mustahab (preferable) to do wudhu before touching such books. [2]
