Women being driven around by a non Mahram

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. My first question is that whether it is permissible for a female to go around the city or for work when she is in full pardah with a driver who is a non mahram male within the 48 miles. Also is it ok for a female to drive herself?

A. No, it is not permissible for a female to go around the City with the driver alone who is a non-Mahram, even though she is in full pardah.

It is allowed for a female to drive her self when there is a need to do so.

And Allah knows best.
