Putting the Kalimah on a bill

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulUloomTT.net

Q. My brother has a business and he was wondering if he can put on his bill “La Illaha Illallah Muhammadur Rasullullah”, can he? It wouldn’t be in arabic, it will be in the transliteration.

A. No, your bother should not put the sacred Kalimah on his bill, even though it may be in transliteration form. Bills are normally thrown away, dumped in garbage and destroyed after some time. If the Kalimah is on the bill, then a grave disrespect to the sacred Kalimah would take place in these cases.

And Allah knows best.
