Does the wife have to cook for her husband
Answer:
It has been the custom and practice since the time of the Prophet of Allah 
that the wife should serve her husband in the customary manner, by preparing food, washing his clothes, cleaning the house according to what is appropriate.
Saaidah Fatima 
would do all the household chores whilst Saaiduna Ali Radiallahu Anhu would carry out all the economic activities. The Prophet of Allah never objected to it.
However, it must be borne in mind that it is not a legal obligation of the wife to cook the meals or do the household chores. It is advisable that she performs these functions out of cooperation. (Contemporary Fatawa p.124)
