Is Azan and Iqamaah necessary

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

If we enter a masjid and it is time for Salah but it is not time for jamah in that locality/masjid. Should we call out the azhan and iqamah and pray in jamah? If we are not to call out the Azhan or Iqamah do we still pray in jamah?
In the name of Allah, the most Beneficent, the most Merciful.

Answer

In the aforementioned situation it is still sunnah muakkadah to do the Azan and Iqamaah before you start the salah. However it is desirable that one does the Azan slightly quietly compared to if one was giving azan normally.
